My cello model is small and round because it's a strong and reliable shape that gives a warm and rich sound with a deep palette for maximum fun in play. I take inspiration from what I admire the most in early English as well as Italian masters and I tailor necks and sound to the players preferences to ensure maximum comfort.

Violas
I found balance in the making of Brescian violas. They combine in harmony: aesthetics, quirkiness, comfort and blow-your-mind sound qualities.
My only Conte de Vitale model made someone very happy indeed, but I wanted to explore small viola models, because I like to go against the grain and dismantle pre-conceptions :)
My Gasparo da Salò 1580 'Kiesman' loose copies are extremely popular. It's a very small model (15"1/2, 151 string length) with a very big sound that carries well.
I am also currently making a Maggini copy with a bigger body but with the same string length.
Vision
Magic happens when one's life focus is to get extraordinary beauty and divine sound to prevail.
In this consumerist, disposable, fast society, I go against the current, making instruments that have to be the best thing I can produce so musicians can be their ever best players.
I quietly protest again the patriarchal-capitalist society we live in by sharpening a skill that serves musicians. For the music must go on.
Commissions
The majority of my work is commissioned. This is a collaborative process where I work with you to craft your instrument to your exact requirements and preferences. We can use one of my own
models, designed according to my ideas of acoustics and aesthetics, or use a classical model of your choice. Your instrument is an investment in you and your future, and is crafted to enable you to achieve your ambitions.
